Allowance 1.1

Get It.

Allowance Main Screen

I’m terrible at making weekly allowance payments to my kids. I rarely have cash in my wallet, so when I do remember to pay the kids I don’t have the cash to do it. Or when I do have the cash, I don’t remember to pay them. When my memory and wallet coincide, I then have to figure out how many weeks have gone by without a payment.

Allowance is a simple tool to help keep track of allowance payments. Enter the name of each of your children, the amount of each allowance payment, and how often you pay them. Allowance will then keep track of how long it’s been since you’ve made a payment, and will automatically calculate how much you owe. When you do make a payment, you can easily deduct it from the total.

If you need help configuring and using Allowance please refer to the instructions.  If you can’t find what you need there feel free to contact us for support.

Allowance 1.2 has been submitted for review and should be ready within a few days.  New features include:

  • transaction history and notes
  • password protect individual payees to prevent your adventurous children from making unauthorized changes
  • some tweaks to the dollar picker and some rewording of prompts to help avoid confusion with subtracting negative values
  • several minor bug fixes

Allowance 1.1 is now available.  Based on user input, we added the following functionality.

  • You can now use the Payments screen to easily add or subtract an arbitrary value from the total amount owed. Previously only Pay in Full and Make Single Allowance options were available and you had to go to the edit screen to change amount owed by other values.
  • Amount Owed can now be a negative value.
