FoopChat relies on code and libraries from several different people. Many of these people freely share their efforts, some share them not quite so freely. Free or not, all of the code and tools listed here are excellent in quality and FoopChat wouldn’t be possible without them.
Speex
Speex is an audio compression library designed specifically for speech compression. It’s very powerful and simple to use, and free.

RichView
The chat windows in FoopChat (and in a few other places) use the TRichView component created by Sergey Tkachenko. It is an excellent component for editing and displaying text and images in various formats including RTF and HTML.

LIBMNG
FoopChat uses this library to handle png and mng images.

Gort’s Icons
Simply the best, and most creative icons I’ve ever seen anywhere. I licensed a few of these for use in FoopChat, and intend to add more as time and money allow.

Tnt Unicode Controls
Tnt controls allow you to develop applications that take advantage of the Unicode capabilities of Windows NT/2000/XP. They subclass Delphi’s VCL controls and replace important properties, such as the Caption property, with Unicode equivalents. FoopChat now uses these controls exclusively for supporting various languages.

Blowfish
FoopChat uses Blowfish encryption. Bruce Schneier designed it, and he has large amounts of information about encryption and security on his website.
